Blurb:
Scarlett Ashford needs a date for her father’s wedding. Only she doesn’t just need a guy in a suit—she needs a bodyguard. The only problem is that Jackson Grayson is big and gorgeous and way too sexy. So much so that Scarlett’s tempted to let this hot bad boy ruin her oh-so-good reputation…
Jackson doesn’t do relationships and he certainly doesn’t sleep with clients. Yet he can’t fight their inconvenient attraction, or how badly he wants Scarlett’s warm and wicked curves against his body. He wants her. Now. Even if it’s just for one night, and even if walking away the next morning isn’t as easy as he thought.
Besides, one hot and incredibly intense night between a bad boy and a pampered princess could never turn into something real…could it?
Review:
“You want to dance?” …
“Like Dirty Dancing you mean?” … His jaw grazed the soft skin of her cheek.
“I can do dirty,” he breathed the words against her ear. “I just don’t do the dancing.” …
“I can do the dancing.” Scarlett’s whisper was husky. “Looks like we’re evenly matched, Jackson.”
The story is typical and not very original. Scarlett is the daughter of a billionaire, a beautiful and modest socialite.Jackson is a middle class, tough and sexy guy who works as a bodyguard. Scarlett hires him to be her date/bodyguard at her dad’s wedding. For Jackson, she is a client and so she’s off-limits. From the moment they meet, he and Scarlett have an explosive chemistry. And it’s almost certain that whatever we keep on resisting, eventually we surrender to it with pathos.
What I enjoyed in this book wasn’t the plot itself. I loved it though for the relationship development, the pleasant dialogues, the narrative’s freshness, the plentiful erotica, the funny moments. I really enjoyed the characters and the way Jackson and Scarlett fell in love despite the obvious financial and social class differences. Their love affair was undermined several times, but at the end love conquered all.
5 stars from me just because I laughed, I had fun, I felt hot, and on turning the last page I felt super satisfied!!
