Dark Notes Pam Godwin eBook

They call me a slut. Maybe I am.
Sometimes I do things I despise.
Sometimes men take without asking.

But I have a musical gift, only a year left of high school, and a plan.
With one obstacle.

Emeric Marceaux doesn’t just take.
He seizes my will power and bangs it like a dark note.
When he commands me to play, I want to give him everything.
I kneel for his punishments, tremble for his touch, and risk it all for our stolen moments.

He’s my obsession, my master, my music.
And my teacher.

Title: Dark Notes
Author: Pam Godwin
Series or Standalone: Standalone
Category: Teacher/Student Romance, BDSM
Plot: 5
Schorching Level: 5
HEA: Not telling

Ivory’s greatest skill is playing the piano. She is a senior at Le Moyne Academy and her greatest dream is to secure a place in Leopold Conservatory of New York. Her chances are slim since the selection is very particular, but she is the most talented artist in the Academy.
Her personal life is a living hell. She is struggling to make ends meet. She lives in an abusive home with a brother that hates her.

“If you flash your tits at my friends again, I’ll cut them the fuck off. You hear me?”

Her life in her house is a nightmare and she has to make a lot of sacrifices to make ends meet. The fact that she is poor, has always cost her a more prestigious place amongst her peers.
When her piano instructor is replaced, her hopes of ever making her dream come true seem less probable.
Emeric Marceaux isn’t your usual piano instructor. He is a dark man with dark appetites and a seedy past. His arrival at Le Moyne Academy seems sudden and no one knows what he’s done to secure his position there. His previous misconducts have yet to cost him his teaching status.
He is a hard teacher and he doesn’t have soft spots. When he meets Ivory, he is at once captivated by her natural beauty and later, her talent.

Christ, her voice…It’s not lazy and high pitched like girls her age. It’s complex and entrancing, like raindrops at midnight.

Ivory’s frist impression of her new instructor isn’t laced with admiration. She can see he is dangerously attractive but she knows men. She doesn’t have the best experiences with them. She has never felt safe with them. She is always hurt at their hands.

My chest tightens. The prettiest ones share the ugliest insides.

Their first meeting isn’t an easy one. Marceaux is demanding and he doesn’t feel sorry for her because of her financial problems. Ivory isn’t impressed with her instructor’s behavior. He is harsh and he doesn’t understand.
Despite the fear he causes her, she is also drawn to him. A dangerous spark burns between them and Marceaux isn’t sure that he wants to stay away from trouble.

She’s exactly the kind of woman I’m drawn to. A woman who flees when hunted and comes alive when she’s caught….
A woman who bites at a heavy hand, only to melt around the unforgiving grip when it cuts her air.

Marceaux’s dangerous appetites will clash with Ivory’s repulsion of men. Can this forbidden passion ever turn from a dream to reality?

I’m twenty-seven and she’s seventeen.
I’m a Dominant and she’s my high school student.

The writing is phenomenal! It’s been a while since I’ve been hooked on a book so deeply. Pam Godwin never disappoints. The execution of her intricate-and deliciously dark-tale is done to near perfection.
The push and pull between Emeric & Ivory is developed perfectly. There is this forbidden spark at first, but then everything changes. Emeric can’t help but get involved in Ivory’s life. The natural urge to protect her and possess her is prominent and it will prove to be very difficult for him to remain distant.
Ivory will fall, but she is wise enough to know that love may never be an emotion that she will share with Marceaux.

When I’m with him the bruises inside me tuck themselves away.
Or maybe they fade.

Emeric’s inclination towards BDSM should have Ivory running after her experiences, but she finds herself uncharacteristically drawn to the sensations he can bring upon her body and soul.
She craves connection but can he give her what she needs?

“The thing I value most doesn’t cost a dime, yet it seems to be the hardest for people to give.”
Friendship? Protection? Love?
My head swims, searching for the answer. “Name it, and it’s yours.”

The book has it all.
Passion & darkness.
It is safe for me to say that Dark Notes is one of my favorite books ever. I will not be able to wipe it out of my mind. If you love a little grit in your books and a little kink in your romance, then consider reading this gem when it releases. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.
Keep some tissues close. I was overwhelmed with all the emotions. There are some heavy themes in the book, so consider yourself warned.
I highly recommend this one!
